Car Crashes Into Stopped Vehicle in Plainfield Causes Injuries

On October 6, 2018 at approximately 10:43 A.M., Officers from the Plainfield Police Department, along with Plainfield Fire Department and American Legion Ambulance responded to a crash involving two motor vehicles with minor injuries in the area of #26 Plainfield Pike in Plainfield.

Deja Lamirand, 18, of Plainfield was traveling westbound, in a 2006 Ford Focus stopped in the roadway waiting for another vehicle to make a turn when she was struck from behind by another vehicle, a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta, which was operated by Rebecca Szruba, 21, of Plainfield.  Lamirand was transported to Backus Emergency Care Center in Plainfield to be treated for minor injuries.

This accident is still under investigation.
