Lady Wolverines Roll to 12-0 On The Season With Victory Against East Hampton
Griswold just keeps rolling along and the offense seems to have a different contributor from game to game. There have been constant producers this year such as Shay Sauvageau, or the dominant pitching outings from Maya Waldron. They have seen production from every inch of the diamond. One day it’s Krick, the next it’s another veteran of the team (if you call a sophomore a vet) Kamryn Gurnee. How about newcomers to the varsity squad such as Freshman Julia Janca who can dial it up to almost 60mph on the mound or Cheyenne Zvingilas in spot situations, or even Karinna Hummel who seemingly is ready to go off the bench whenever Coach Arremony gives them the call.
Today at home, it wasn’t much different. Stepping up, another different name, Madison Labossiere who went 3-4 with 3 rbi’s en route to a Wolverine 9-1 victory over the Bell Ringers of East Hampton. The Wolverines scored in each of the first 4 innings while banging out a total of 13 hits. Maya Waldron continues to help her team win. Waldron had 3 hits of her own while hold EH to only a single run that was given up in the 1st, which is the ONLY run she has given up in her last 18 innings pitched spanning 3 games.
Next up for the #1 ranked high school softball team in the state is Bacon Academy this Thursday in Colchester.
