Norwich Man Arrested After Lenghty Drug Investigation
Detective Division, Narcotics, Community Policing Units and Special Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.) executed a search and seizure warrant at 564 Laurel Hill Road Norwich, CT. As a result of the service of that warrant and subsequent search of the residence, detectives and agents seized over $1900 in cash, approximately 6 grams of crack cocaine and 2 grams of heroin. In addition, detectives and agents seized packaging materials and cutting agents.
The aforementioned search and seizure warrant was granted as a result of a several month long investigation of the accused and his active engagement in illicit drug sales. The accused, 25 year old Luis Alberto Marrero of Norwich was arrested during the service of the warrant for the charges listed below:
CHARGES: Possession of Heroin 21a-279(A) Possession of Heroin/Cocaine WITS 21a-278 Possession of Cocaine 21a-279(A) Possession of Cocaine WITS 21a-278 Operating a Drug Factory 21a-277 Interfering with a Police Officer 53a-167
The accused was held on a $50,000 bond and will be arraigned in Norwich Superior Court February 22, 2018.
