Plainfield 3 Car Accident Causes Minor Injuries
On August 15, 2018, at approximately 2:52 P.M., members of the Plainfield Police Department responded to the intersection of Plainfield Pike Road and Gendron Road in Plainfield, Connecticut for a reported three car motor vehicle crash with unknown injuries.
Grace Navan, 20, of Sterling, CT was operating a 2003 Jeep Liberty Eastbound on Plainfield Pike Road when she collided with the rear of a 2006 Lexus GX470 being operated by Shawn Lagranduer, 46, of Plainfield, CT. Lagranduer was stopped in the roadway traveling Eastbound attempting to make a left turn onto Gendron Road awaiting oncoming traffic to clear. Due to the collision Lagranduer’s vehicle was forced into the Westbound lane causing his vehicle to strike the driver side of a 2015 Jeep Wrangler being operated by David Jakobsen, 40, of Exeter, RI. Jakobsen was traveling Westbound when the collision occurred.
Navan, Lagranduer, Jakobsen and his two juvenile passengers were all transported to Backus Hospital in Plainfield, CT with suspected minor injuries.
