Plainfield Men Arrested After Town Hall Trespass
On May 18, 2018 at approximately 10:29 P.M., a member of the Plainfield Police Department was conducting a patrol check of the Plainfield Town Hall located at 8 Community Avenue, Plainfield, CT. While conducting a patrol check the Officer noticed numerous individuals trespassing at the park which closes at 10:00 P.M. The Officer located Ryan Coutu, 23, homeless of Plainfield highly intoxicated at the gazebo. Coutu had been advised on numerous occasions not to trespass at the town hall. Coutu was recently arrested on May 1, 2018 for Breach of Peace 2nd Degree after causing a disturbance at the park. Coutu was placed under arrest and charged with Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree. William Bist, 40, of Plainfield fled the scene on foot as the Officer approached. Bist who was highly intoxicated was subsequently apprehended and placed under arrest. Bist was charged with Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree and Interfering with a Police Investigation.
Coutu and Bist are both scheduled to appear at the Danielson Superior Court, on June 4, 2018 at 8:30 A.M.
