Sterling Man Charged With Drug Possession
On 01/03/2018 at approximately 9:20 pm, members of the Troop D – Quality of Life Task Force conducted a motor vehicle stop on a black Chevrolet Suburban for a motor vehicle violation on Snake Meadow Hill Road in Killingly. Quality of Life Task Force Troopers approached the vehicle and interviewed the driver. During the interview, the operator admitted that he had crack cocaine in his vehicle. Troopers then located multiple crack cocaine rocks and a digital scale in various locations of the vehicle. Kevin Gibbons of Sterling was arrested and transported to Troop D. Gibbons was charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine 21a-279(a) and Possession of Crack Cocaine WITS – 21A-278(b). Gibbons was released on a $10,000 non/surety bond and is to appear in Danielson Superior Court on 01/17/2018 for the above charges.
